The Rest of My Life

I did a quick glance at my most recent posts and realized they all had a common theme.

Food.

While food is necessary for me to live each day, it is not my life.
So I decided it was time I share a little bit of what I've been up to lately.

~Work. at the end of May I started a full-time job at Bright Horizon Day Care in Tempe for the summer.
Whoever decided getting up at 5 am everyday in the summer was a good idea, is quite crazy.
But, other than that, I am thankful for the job that I have been blessed with.
I am one of the two school age "teachers," so I just do fun activities with kids aged 5-12.
However, usually my boss has me floating around to other classrooms, and I thoroughly enjoy that.
It's weird to think I only have 8 more weeks at this place.

~School. Whoever decided summer school should exist is also crazy.
It really not fun to come home from working 8 hours with the knowledge that homework is waiting.
I must admit though, I am thoroughly enjoying my class.
My professor is awesome and laid back and the class is actually quite enjoyable.
In 2 weeks, I start my second summer class and then prepare for student teaching.

~Fitness. Exercise has become a huge part of my life lately.
I never thought this would happen, but I am kind of becoming an exercise addict.
I have made a routine of coming home from work, exercising for an hour, eating dinner, and then doing whatever else needs to be done.
I am also reaching the point where I can't imagine a day with out working out.
My roommate and I also found a very fun Zumba class.
So Thursday nights are spent with Zumba.
I simply love it!

This is probably not the most exciting update on my life, but I am quite content
with the way things currently are.
I am realizing that when you are a full-time working, healthy living, Graduate student,
you can't really have the most exciting life.
But, I definitely can find excitement in my day to day life.
I am thankful for the experiences I am constantly being blessed with!

  1. I agree with you that summer school = death. I hate it so much. On the other hand, it helps keep me motivated with my studies...if I had a long break it would be tough to get back into the routine of papers etc.
I am so thankful for all the food recipes you have given me. I am getting the ingredients this weekend to make me some smoothies and I am so excited!
