Transition Time!

The truth is I LOVE change!
It's something I have always enjoyed because it keeps things exciting and a lot of times makes you step out of your comfort zone a bit.
I just love it!
However, one thing I do not enjoy so much is transitions.
That may sound like an oxymoron, but I promise it's not.

In my mind:
Change- switching from one thing to another
Transition- the time in between those changes
See the difference?

Right now is transition time in my life and I realized the reason I don't like it so much is because it is a huge test of my patience, and I am not a fan of playing the waiting game!
I am ready to just jump in, without the waiting game in between!
I know I should just sit back and enjoy the calm that comes before the crazy of change, but that is so hard for me.
Here are some changes that are taking place in my life:

-I GOT A NEW JOB!!! On Friday, I put my two weeks notice in at work and it was the best feeling ever, except for the part where I have to wait to start my new job. I have been a bank teller for just over two years. It has been an interesting experience working there, but working in a corporate office is just not for me. I was ready to be out last summer, but due to some things going on in my life, I stayed. Well, I reached a point where I couldn't take it anymore, started applying to new jobs, and with many miracles and tender mercies, accepted a new position! I am going to be working with children with Autism, which is something that has been of interest to me since high school. It will be a much more rewarding job than working at a bank.

-MY NEW(ish) CALLING! At the end of May, I was called to serve on the ASU institute council. This calling is kind of interesting because it is a "May to May" calling, where as most callings you don't really know how long you will have them. I have had the opportunities to attend meetings for it this summer; however, I am ready for school to start and to jump in. (Yes, I said I want school to start!) I know it's going to stretch me to do things in ways I have never been stretched before, and it will probably be my busiest school year ever, but I am ready for it!

-SENIOR YEAR! This is just weird...I am a senior in college and graduate in May! I feel like I have learned so much, but at the same time have learned nothing. Not to forget the fact that I don't know what I am doing after I graduate in May. But I am excited for senior year. I decided to take a bunch of random classes (I am basically done with all my required classes) in hopes to find something to spark my interest. I am ready to be back and busy with school.

-MY FAVORITE ALLRED FAMILY MOVED! This is kind of a bitter-sweet change that will take a lot of time to get used to. My oldest brother, his wife, and baby left yesterday for Mississippi. I am really excited for them, as they are going for good reasons and will learn and do great things. It is just hard because I have always been pretty close with my brother, and he has been a huge help to me with so many things. It is just going to be hard not having him live ten minutes down the street for me to make my weekly Sunday visits and random visits during the week. Thank goodness for cell phones, Facebook, and Skype!

THE NEW WARD! Well, I guess it's not that "new," but it is still an adjustment. I have been in the ward for two months now and and still trying to switch from a small singles branch to an extremely large ward. I do enjoy meeting a lot of people and all the activities going on. I guess I just felt at home in my old branch, as I was there for two years, and I just haven't reached that "homey" feeling yet with my new ward. It will take some time, so I feel like I am in transition still!

These are just a few changes that are taking place in my life in the near future, or have taken place, leaving me in a state of transition
