A few days, I heard this song for the first time in forever.
Time of My Life, by David Cook.
It is one that I have really liked since I first heard it.
The words of this song have been playing through my head since I heard it a few days ago, and it couldn't be at a more perfect time.
With the start of school today, I have had a lot of things on my mind!
I often find myself in the "wishful" state- wishing to be done with school, wishing to have a stable career, wishing to have a family of my own.
But I love the lyrics to this song that counteract that wishful thinking.
"This is the time of my life."
I love the reminder that I need to "taste every moment and live it out loud," for this truly is "the time of my life."
It is the time of my life to be involved in things I am interested in, to pursue my hobbies, learn a lot, and help others while I have spare time to do so.
I am thankful for that!
In Matthew 6:34 it says, "Take no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself."
In the verses previous to this, it talks about putting God first and everything else will fall into place.
That is my goal as I start off this new semester!
Don't stress or worries about the tomorrows, but focus on doing what's right and enjoying this time of my life!
Whatever is best for me will fall in place in due time!
